COLD HOPPY POTATO ALES, LIVE TUNES & GOOD TIMES FOR THE COMMUNITY
Lock in the date, Saturday 17 March, we’re returning to the Old Museum for this year’s Brewsvegas, throwing a Brissy backyard party like no other, to celebrate good beer and raise funds for OzHarvest.
The family-friendly, free event will kick off from 5.30pm in the backyard where they’ll be a convoy of mouth-watering food trucks serving up their best, a selection of local market stalls selling their wares, Pop up Vinyl records store by Sonic Sherpa, live art by local artist Drapl and tunes pumping from the decks – courtesy of vinyl DJ’s ‘Your Mates’.
We’ll be pouring satiating brews from our beer truck, Clyde, including the official festival beer, the Hoppy Potato Ale. Brewed in collaboration with Brewsvegas and OzHarvest all profits from the official festival beer’s sales will be donated. Half of the money will support the continuation of Brisbane’s good beer festival, Brewsvegas (a not for profit) and the other half will be donated to OzHarvest – a food rescue organisation, collecting quality excess food from commercial outlets and delivering it directly to more than 1000 charities supporting people in need across the country.
For the first time in Queensland, we’ll be launching our cup exchange program ‘#forcupssake’, an environmentally friendly intitiative that eliminates single cup use from the event. Every beer purchased offers the opportunity to either take the cup home as a momento or, can be returned to be washed and re-used at future Stone & Wood events.
But it doesn’t stop there… if you’re into live, local music, we’ve teamed up with Bootleg Rascal and guests playing upstairs in the museum from 8.30pm for only $15. Tickets available for purchase via Eventbrite.
All profits raised will go towards OzHarvest, and the incredible work they continue to do helping those in need within the Brisbane community.
So, come enjoy a couple of brews and help nourish the local community, either with the family to the free backyard event or, if you’re in for the long haul and keen to buy tickets to live gig upstairs.
