We love live local music and from out in the hills to beachy backyards and those busking on the Byron streets, the Northern Rivers is an incubator. There’s nothing better than sitting back and listening to a live act and this area has some great venues, pubs and beer gardens to do just that.
We’ve been working closely with Byron’s community radio station BayFM to present Stone & Wood Sessions. Promoting musicians from the Northern Rivers, every couple of weeks a musician is invited into the studio to record a song live. That song is then played over the airways for the following 2 weeks.
The last one we did was with singer/songwriter Andrea Soler who came into the studio to record her new single Dusty Broken Windows. Â Check her out below.
For us, this gives us the opportunity to support something we believe in through our Ingrained community program and to give musicians a platform to be heard. It’s a way of supporting the community that supports us and ultimately to keep local music live!
