If you’ve dropped into our brewery in Byron over the past few months, you would have walked into the shed, beer in hand and seen a small construction site…
With our brewery up the road filled with bubbling tanks full of Pacific Ale, Lager and Jasper Ale we set ourselves a little project of recreating our spiritual home, ‘the heart beat of Stone & Wood’ our Sales Manager Julien likes to call it, back into the place that produces our seasonal and limited release beers and a place for you to be able to drop in, come on a tour and meet the crew.
The smaller batch beers have ticked through at the back end of this year (Cloud Catcher, The Mash Collective’s Heartbreaker, Limited Release Jasper then Lager and some Garden Ale to go on tap locally and to be packed in the Mixed Six Ale Packs) and we have some more planned for early in the New Year and despite there still being some bare frames where a few walls are to go and a bit of decorating to do, the inside of the brewery is taking shape.
To finish off the year, we invited all our neighbors in the area, locals and anyone who was in town around for a Friday arvo sesh with a few Karma Kegs and some pizza. As the taps poured for the first time, our newest artwork by Beastman hung overhead silhouetted by a string of makeshift lights. For us, this is what it’s all about, getting everyone together to catch up over a few drinks. Not a bar, this will be a place for you to be able to drop in and check out what we do and for us to be able to put on a few community events. We can’t wait!
With the end of the year whirring towards us, we wish everyone a happy Christmas. Take it slow and enjoy the good things in life – good food, fun times with your friends and family and great beer.
Cheers!
The brewery will be closed between 25-29 December and closed on the spattering of public holidays in January.
