Our Murwillumbah brewery is finally up and running and with Bonnie venturing south to Melbourne, bringing our Holidaze event to a back lane in Brunswick, then rolling on through the craziness of Good Beer Week into the following weekend at the mecca that is GABS, one minute it was May and next, Stone Beer (stockist list here) has welcomed Winter, signally June.
There was a lot to wrap up from the massive month of May and there was nothing better to finish on than working out what Festival of the Stone raised for the Northern Rivers Community Foundation.
Backtracking to that fateful night of Festival of the Stone in early May, as a part of our Ingrained Community Program, we pledged that the profits made from beer sales would go to the NRCF. Local businesses jumped on board with Jack the Snipper making a whole lot of gentlemen leave the event looking sharper than when they arrived, Art Park giving punters the opportunity to have a crack at screen printing and Salumi and 100 Mile Table making sure no one went hungry with their delicious fare and Element donating some epic giveaways!
Together we raised $2995 plus an additional $1,256 from the gold coin donations made by all those who came to the brewery to enjoy the night. Thank you again to everyone who made it such a great night! This donation will generate income that will fund the NRCF’s annual grants program.
May was a mammoth month, bring on June and Winter!
