Inspired by the transition into Summer and the preparation that inevitably entails… think, mowing that unkept lawn, cleaning the greasy barby, and pulling out the abandoned beach gear, The Mash Collective‘s third release ‘The Old Persuader’ is a strong lager that’s gutsy but refreshing; the friend that tells you to sit down and just relax…
Created by two Sydney graphic artists, a sort after photographer, an award winning architect and a renowned author, their beer draws parallels with freshly mown grass, think grassy, spicy hops, scattered over a fresh malt palate with a glow of a well deserved alcohol kick.
So what is The Mash Collective, you may ask?
Every now and then we open the brewery’s doors to a group of individuals to share their personal obsessions and create a brew from a common ground, which is a love of beer.
Artists, chefs, scientists, photographers, architects, skaters, furniture makers, writers and musicians. These are just some of the people who inspire us every day, so we thought why not get some of them together and see what sort of beer they’d create? And as a result, The Mash Collective was born.
From selecting a style, to formulating a recipe, to designing the label and of course coming together on the brew day, the collective of individuals are behind the beer’s inception.
So each brew from The Mash Collective is pretty special. Not just the beer, but more importantly the who, the why and the how that goes into it.
