You remember those long summer days? The ones when all you had to worry about was your Mum’s fury at you strolling back to the campsite, crispy like pork crackling, after a day spent down the beach, standing on sand banks yabbie pumping, doing hot laps on your bike around the camping ground and walking in the midday heat up to the top shop to get hot chips and a milkshake. Or those road trips with your mates, where you’d wake up with the sunrise, bush bash to find secluded beaches and surf, all day long knowing that evening you’d be enjoying the spoils of a feast cooked on a hot plate and an Esky full of beer…
Those days are the days that are simple, where you can take it slow and just enjoy.
We took Bonnie, our wooden caravan, down the coast on a road trip to Newcastle Craft Beer Week for our Holidaze event, stopping in along the way. The surf was pretty average and with her, we stuck in the left lane but it felt good to get on the open road and even though Autumn’s now here, she’ll be bringing the Summer vibe with her to our next Holidaze events.
