With the sun slipping below the rooftops, turning the festoon lit sky above the brewery a purple pinkish red, children ducked and weaved below the shoulder to shoulder crowd who sipped their beers as they swayed to sweet guitar rifts and nostalgic bluesy tunes.
A couple of weekends ago, we opened our brewery gates for our annual Festival of the Stone. For us, it’s an excuse to throw a party and celebrate the release of our seasonal Stone Beer, but also an opportunity to raise money for the Northern Rivers Community Foundation, which from the income of their investments is used to fund community projects.
We put the word out and by the time Stone Beer was tapped, the people were packed in for the night. We were just so blown away by the awesome vibe and happy faces that filled the driveway and tasting room!
We’re stoked to announce that through gold coin donations taken on the door, the profits from the event and money put aside in Ingrained, our community initiative, we are able to donate almost $10,000 to the NRCF.
We’d like to thank everyone who came out to enjoy a beer and to the food stalls, bands and helpers that made it an unforgettable evening.
