She’s an alluring amber ale, that’s been spiced with quangdong and pepperberry that’ll make you leave your other beers but in the end, she’ll end up leaving you.
Unleashed from the tanks last week and being called the best Mash Collective beer yet (thanks Crafty Pint), the guys behind her inception came back to the brewery for the final time to rack and pack her last Thursday.
You could not wipe the smile of Clayton’s face as he grabbed bottle after bottle off the line and placed them with so much care into the blank boxes. With the Byron brewery currently in the middle of a re-furb that will see it become a tasting room and a place for you to be able to come for tours by the end of the year, Damian organised a large print of the Heartbreaker design getting each of the Collective to sign it. We just can’t wait to see it go up onto one of the walls, immortalising this beer well after she’s disappeared.
It’s the fourth time we’ve brought a bunch of creatives together to brew their own beer. Muso Darren Middleton, designer Damian Kelly and Indigenous Chef Clayton Donovan have been there for every step of this process, from the beer storming, to the brewing, to coming up with the name and design and finally the packaging, they have made this go from an idea conceived over a few beers to a beer that’s going on tap and hitting shelves this week.
We’re stoked that the guys are happy with their creation and we’re looking forward to you trying it too. Becoming available over the coming weeks, here’s the listing on where to try her…
