We’re stoked to support the 18th annual Rainforest Day this weekend which coincides with the release of our Beers from our Backyard beer, Big Scrub.
We gathered some of the crew on Thursday to head into our hinterland to get our hands dirty, working with Big Scrub Landcare to regenerate one of the remaining Big Scrub areas.
Now less than 1% of its original size, Big Scrub was once the largest area of subtropical rainforest on the East Coast of Australia.
We’re lucky to live in an incredible part of the world, surrounded by natural beauty and conscious likeminded people who want to look after the Earth we tread on. For us, the remnants of Big Scrub need to be regenerated and celebrated to grow awareness and appreciation.
If you are around town this weekend, check out Rainforest Day event at Rocky Creek Damn on Sunday or buy a ticket to the Scrubbers Ball with Bob Brown on the Saturday night where we will be pouring a Big Scrub Karma Keg.
