We have a lot of fun brewing our Stone Beer and so to celebrate the tapping of the first kegs, we’re throwing a party at the brewery.

It’s something we look forward to each year but it’s been a while since we’ve opened the gates for Festival of the Stone! We’re kicking things off from 3pm and we have some great live local music lined up, food by Salumi and 100 Mile Table (keeping both meat lovers and vegos happy), pop up stalls by the likes of our mates Art Park (who always have something cool going on) and there are a few other surprises lined up too.

Oh and did we mention fresh beer? We’ll have all our beers plus our 2014 Stone Beer being served straight from our wooden caravan Bonnie.

It’ll be a gold donation on entry, with 100% of proceeds going to our Ingrained Community Program.

Stone Beer’s looking bigger and darker than last year…

Word from inside the brewery is that it’s developing rich coffee and burnt caramel notes with a dark choc and coffee taste upfront, hints of sweet toffee and a spicy hop hit, followed with a nice smooth finish.

Hold on tight, this big boy will be out mid May.

Celebrating beer and its origins within the community, the brewing of our Stone Beer each year is about bringing people together.

Stone Beer is brewed with wood fired stones as a tribute to the ancient techniques used long before the wizardry of steam.

In early March, we gathered with friends and family to brew this year’s Stone Beer under a clear and starry sky.

Being released in May, the boys in the brewery have said the beer is coming along nicely.

The first kegs will be tapped at our annual Festival of the Stone, held this year, at our brewery on Saturday 10th May in Byron. More details to be posted at the end of this week!

A listing of venues and bottleshops will be posted in the coming weeks – so stay tuned.
