Arguably the best kind of week, Good Beer Week kicks off today across Melbourne and Victoria until Sunday 19 May, gracing venues with beer events, workshops, talks, dinners and more.
With some seriously good Australian and international beers involved, we’re excited to get down with beer-lovers at these bespoke events within Melbourne city.
All week – Pint of Origin Regional NSW– FREE ENTRY
12.00pm til late, Dan O’Connell
Our beers will be tapped throughout the week at Dan O’Connell, alongside other regional NSW breweries and food specials and meet-the-brewer sessions.
Monday 13 May – Stone & Wood meet Grass Fed Beef– SOLD OUT
6.30pm – 10.30pm, The Railway Club Hotel
We’re teaming up with Melbourne steak institution the Railway Club for one night only, pairing our beers with four courses featuring premium Australia grass-fed beef, including Robbin’s Island Wagyu and Angus from Bass Strait Beef.
Tuesday 14 May – Stone & Wood Vegetarian Degustation– $95.00
6.30pm – 9.30pm, Henry Sugar
Hosted by our head brewer Caolan Vaughan This beer-centric vegetarian degustation at Henry Sugar will feature innovative and unique plant-based dishes, paired with a range of our Pilot Batches – many of which have never left our Byron Bay Tasting Room. Meals will incorporate fresh brewing ingredients and processes, and take inspiration from beer flavour profiles.
Tuesday 14 May – Annual Brewers’ Beergustation Dinner– $120 per person
6.30pm til late, Rainbow Hotel
Held at the venue for Good Beer Week’s Pint of Origin, Rainbow Hotel, the Annual Brewers’ Beergustation Dinner will match several NSW ales with eight courses created by the Hotel’s head chef Martin Searle, with the featured brewers chatting through their brews on the night.
Wednesday 15 May –Counter Culture No.2 National Launch Party– FREE ENTRY
4.00pm til late, The Great Northern Hotel
The second limited Counter Culture beer – our Sticky Nectar hazy mango IPA – is taking over Carlton North’s Great Northern Hotel for an evening of beer tastings, Atari Pong competitions, live DJs and the chance to win a trip to Byron Bay. Besides Sticky Nectar, punters can try our Haus Pils, Swamp Beer, Killer Kween (Counter Culture No.1), Prequel, SWX and more, and enjoy a Haze Craze Masterclass with our head brewer Caolan Vaughanbefore the event kick-off from 3.00pm – 4.00pm.
Friday 17 May – Mega Dega VII Dinner– SOLD OUT
6.30pm – 10.30pm, The Hotel Windsor
This year’s Mega Dega dinner – Good Beer Week’s champion foodie event uniting gourmet food and beer – will take place in the Hotel Windsor ballroom, featuring guests from New Belgium, The Bruery and Stone Brewery, a top Melbourne sommelier, several gastronomy and fermentation specialists, and some of the Stone & Wood crew alongside other brewing mates.
Sunday 19 May – Kick Ons– FREE ENTRY
10.00pm – 6.00am, Loch & Key
After one hell of a week, this is a night for the hospitality legends who’ve spent Good Beer Week pouring, cleaning and nursing aching feet. We’re thanking you guys alongside Fixation and some other brewery mates by hosting Kick Ons, which will start kick-off with a barbeque and cold beers and include a free round for all at midnight.
