What’s on tap?
Each with their own journey, our All Year Beers are available year-round, and each captures a certain story from our home in the Northern Rivers. Our Limited Release beers include our Counter Culture range – a rotating series of weird and wonderful small-batch brews– and our Pilot Batch beers brewed in Byron served here in our Tasting Room.
The Original Pacific Ale
Slow Down, Soak It Up
Inspired by our home on the edge of the Pacific Ocean, we brew our golden hazy Pacific Ale with all Australian barley, wheat and Galaxy hops from Tasmania, which give the beer its big tropical fruit aromas and flavours and a refreshing finish. This is what we’ve long called ‘Byron Bay in a bottle’.
Green Coast Lager
Inspired by our hinterland that rolls into the ocean, Green Coast Lager is brewed with a blend of the finest malts and noble hops, and left unfiltered for a natural yeast cloud. Clean, crisp and the perfect accompaniment to food, Green Coast Lager balances its subtly spicy hops with a soft malt profile.
Cloud Catcher Pale Ale
Seek & Enjoy
Cloud Catcher is our full-flavoured pale ale, brewed with all Australian pale and crystal malts and hopped with Galaxy, Ella and Enigma for tropical and stone fruit aromas and flavours, firm bitterness and a crisp finish. We first brewed Cloud Catcher in homage of the mountain close to our second brewery in Murwillumbah called Cloud Catcher.
The Gatherer Wheat Beer
Beer, Not As You Know it
With a twist of real watermelon, cucumber and mint and hopped with Galaxy, The Gatherer is beer – but not as you know it. With its blush hue and zesty flavour, this refreshing drink brings a bright buzz to any social occasion and challenges preconceived notions about ‘regular beer’.
East Point Lower Alc
When Less Is More
A crisp and refreshing lower alcohol hazy, this flavourful lightly soured beer boasts a zesty tang and comes in at only 2.7% alc/vol. East Point pays tribute to Australia’s most easterly point, where rolling waves strike the cliffs off Cape Byron and fill the air with salt spray.
Hoppy Red Ale
Our hoppy red ale pays homage to the hinterland village once known as Jasper. Inspired by the region’s red volcanic soil, this beer has generous additions of Galaxy, Enigma and Mosaic hops that erupt in bright fruity flavours and aromas. Medium bodied with caramel and toffee notes, Jasper is balanced by a firm and refreshing bitterness.
Brewed for lazy days spent in the backyard or your favourite beer garden, our Garden Ale is truly sessionable at 3.5%. Dry hopped with Ella, it balances its subtle fruit aroma with a toasted malt backbone from the blend of pale and crystal malts, finishing soft and bitter.
Beers that go against the grain
Our limited-release Counter Culture range is filled with weird and wonderful beers that deviate from our core range. These releases feature recipes we’ve never tried before, as well as popular Pilot Batch beers from the past, collaboration brews and beer inspired by the broader brewing community.
Untried. Experimental. Limited
Brewed right here in the brewery, our Pilot Batch series is where our resident Byron brewers let loose on different ingredients and brewing techniques. These creative one-off brews are seasonal and rotational – and once they run out, may never return. You can enjoy our Pilot Batch beers straight from the tap or fill a 1L Sharer bottle to take home.
What’s on the canteen menu?
Hungry? Our Byron Brewery canteen by 100 mile table has a delicious selection of lunch meals and snacks. Our kitchen is open from 12-3pm. Ask our friendly staff about the Staff Meal and any specials for the week, we have the kids covered too.
Take a virtual brewery tour
Join our Tasting Room manager Jess – beer-in-hand – for a three-part virtual brewery tour that reflects the real-life brewery tours we host here, and enjoy learning about our history, beers, brewing, team and our approach to conscious business.
Beer as a Force for Good
For us, good means more than just the quality or the taste of the beer; it reflects how we fulfil our role as the local brewer and encapsulates how we work with the environment and give back to the community.
As a B-Corp certified business, we’re proud to be part of a global movement of businesses working to create positive impact in the world. We use this score as a benchmark to review and improve the way we run our business.
The inGrained Foundation
After donating $750,000 to not-for-profits between 2013 and 2018, we founded our national not-for-profit the inGrained Foundation as the next step in our commitment to supporting our communities. A national not-for-profit, the inGrained Foundation works to generate and direct donations to grassroots Northern Rivers charities to encourage capacity-building in our region.
Stone & Wood funds the inGrained Foundation through $1 donated per litre of beer sold in our breweries, $1 per 100 litres sold elsewhere, and through our major fundraising events throughout the year, including our Murwillumbah Open Day and Festival of the Stone.
