About Our Beer
Our beer is for the locals, friends passing through and those who appreciate good beer.
‘Good beer is our thing’
This mantra reminds us of our commitment to quality, sessionable beer. It also refers to our approach to conscious business: how we use beer as a force for good.
We’re proud to brew using four ingredients – water, malt, hops and yeast – and source only the best quality of these. Our aim isn’t to brew beer as fast as possible; we brew ‘slowly’ so that the natural ingredients shine through the finished product.
Our entire crew – across the office to the tasting rooms to production – are trained to identify how the best of our beer should taste. Anything less than that doesn’t make it out of the brewery gates.
While we brew most of our beer at our main site in Murwillumbah, we also have smaller breweries in Byron Bay and Brisbane.

All Year Beer
Each with their own journey, our All Year Beers are available year-round, and each captures a certain story from our home in the Northern Rivers.
The Original Pacific Ale was inspired by the ocean off our shoreline, while Green Coast Lager pays homage to the lush hinterland that rolls right into it. Cloud Catcher, brewed in celebration of our second brewery in Murwillumbah, is the translation of Mount Wollumbin, a site of significance for local Aboriginal history and culture. Further south, Jasper – now called Federal – was a red-soil village whose residents banded together to save an historic church.

Limited Releases
Our Limited Release beers include our Counter Culture range – a rotating series of weird and wonderful small-batch brews – and our Pilot Batch beers brewed in Byron and Brisbane and served in their Tasting Rooms.
With Counter Culture and Pilot Batch, our brewers can think outside the box, push boundaries and experiment with different ingredients (think bunya nuts, toasted coconut, hemp seeds, lavender and coffee).
We think of Pilot Batch as a launching pad: if a Pilot Batch beer hits major success at one of our Tasting Rooms, we’ll often make it a national Counter Culture release.
