FESTIVAL OF THE STONE RETURNS THIS JUNE

Join us for our biggest event of the year

A neighbourhood party of epic proportions, we’re thrilled to announce the return of Festival of The Stone to our Byron Brewery, Saturday 5 June!

With live music and food trucks on-site, our family-friendly festival is set to welcome in the colder months ahead, as our prized winter limited release, Stone Beer, waits for the pour behind the bar.

With our music line-up soon to be announced, a portion of every ticket sold will be going back into supporting the community via the inGrained Foundation, our charity organisation.

The pride of the festival, Stone Beer – a wood-fired porter – will be yours for the drinking alongside all of your other Stone & Wood favourites, Sunly Seltzers and new kid on the block, Little Dragon ginger beer.

For those who call the Northern Rivers home, it’s time to come for a dance and enjoy the good times. For those further afield, it’s time to make the beer pilgrimage east as the mighty Stone Beer makes its brief return.

An epic line-up of bands and DJs will be hitting the stage featuring:

JK-47 | SEASIDE | TAYA

The Hombres | The Booty Affair | Casimir

Cashew | Club Raiders DJs | Richie Carter

Ticket sales contribute to the donation amount for the chosen local charity. Grab your tickets via Eventbrite.

Stay tuned to our Event page or Instagram and Facebook for updates!

WHAT IF MY GROUP OR I CAN’T MAKE IT?

You know the drill – if you’re not feeling well or something else comes up, please call our Brisbane brewery on 0476 446 336 and email [email protected] or our Byron Bay brewery on 0429 060 262 and email [email protected] to fully transfer your booking to another time or day. We do ask that if you’re sick to please reschedule at a reasonable time in the future.

DO YOU OFFER VEGAN OR VEGETARIAN FOOD OPTIONS?

Yes! If you have any dietary requirements, please highlight this in the comments section on the booking checkout or alternatively call the brewery to let the staff know at least a day in advance.

***

As you know, things have been really tough for our industry and for independent breweries, wine makers, producers, growers, venue owners and hospo staff around the country. But while we acknowledge Phase One of the government’s reopening guidelines doesn’t work for all venues, we feel grateful that we’re able to connect with you again in our spaces.

The Welcome Back sessions are subject to change as the government guidelines move into the following phases, but we’ll keep you in the loop about that.

For now, we want to THANK YOU for your support. By supporting independent Australian beer, you’ve been #KeepingLocalAlive and ensuring the future of indie beer will be strong in the future.

Cheers!

What do you get when you throw together a closed Tasting Room, a video camera and a manager who’s going a little stir-crazy?

Cheers for 10 years of Beers

We’re celebrating our milestone...

WATCH: SWX video – Commemorating 10 Years of Beers

Today marks 10 years since the first kegs rolled out of our brewery in Byron Bay.

A fair bit’s changed since the three boys first sat around the kitchen table, dreaming up what would be the original and handcrafted Pacific Ale, back in 2008. What hasn’t changed are our values, being proudly independent, being ingrained in our communities and our focus on treading as lightly as we can on our Earth.

There are so many special moments and achievements we’re proud of over the last decade. Check out a few of our most memorable ones below.

We’re humbled and proud of where we’ve come from but more excited for where we’re heading with our incredible team. From all of us cheers for the support and ten years of beers!

Our New Spiritual Home Is Taking Shape...

Stone & Wood Byron Bay Brewery update...

Our new spiritual home is taking shape!
If you’ve driven down Ewingsdale Rd in Byron Bay over the last couple of months, you would have seen the skeleton of our new brewery being built. Our construction team have been busy laying the foundations and building the frame of the new brewery and over the next couple of days, we’ll be craning the roof on.

We’re relocating our spiritual home from Boronia Place which is situated just around the corner. The purpose-built brewery and office space designed by Harley Graham Architects is to provide a higher quality experience.

We will not be increasing production at our new site…For us, it’s about being able to bring everything back under one roof – brewing, tasting room and office spaces.

For the project, we’ve made a conscious choice to work with as many local suppliers as possible. Our builder AGS Commercial is a family owned company based in Lismore who will be bringing local architect Harley Graham’s designs to life, whilst Andy Ceglinski from Wooden Anchor is looking after sourcing reclaimed and sustainable timber for the build including Camphor laurel.

We’re pumped to continue investing in our local community, and look forward to sharing more exciting news about the project as development progresses. Stay tuned!

Whether you’re a serious foodie, diehard beer nerd or just someone who enjoys one-of-a-kind experiences, this promises to be a fun night for everyone. We’re brewing up a special evening including some music, door prizes and maybe even an exclusive treat or two. For more details, you’ll just have to come along on the night!
